Envirocell's vision is to be an effective provider of information, training and advice related to the environmental and chemical aspects of the pulp and paper industry. Its accompanying mission is to advance the technical and environmental performance of the pulp and paper industry and to promote a realistic perception of the pulp and paper industry amongst its stakeholders.

Envirocell's environmental policy is as follows:

• Envirocell will comply with all legal requirements in relation to environmental protection, standards and performance.
• Envirocell will use, wherever possible, materials/systems that are not only fit for their purpose, but which are environmentally-sound judged across their whole life cycle.
• Envirocell will be pro-active in promoting a positive commitment and approach to environmental management amongst its clients.
• Envirocell will promote the following principles of sound environmental management:
  - positive management of environmental issues in a structured,
  integrated system
  - the judgement of environmental impacts over the complete life cycle of
  products
  - the use of clean production techniques to minimise waste and pollution
  at source
  - use of environmentally-sound raw materials that minimise negative
  impacts and maximise the potential for beneficial use of process
  residues and used products.
